Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Causes PlayStation Servers to Crash Ahead of Official Release

In an unexpected turn of events, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has caused PlayStation servers to crash just days before its official release. The game, which is set to launch on October 10, 2024, experienced an overwhelming amount of pre-load traffic from owners of the Deluxe and Ultimate editions. This surge in demand was enough to temporarily bring down the PlayStation Network.

Early access for the special editions started on October 5, giving these players the ability to pre-load the game ahead of the official release. While these editions typically attract fewer players than the standard version, the popularity of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero exceeded expectations, leading to server overload.

Sony acknowledged the issue, explaining that the high number of download requests caused intermittent outages. With the standard edition pre-load set to begin on October 8, there are concerns that the PlayStation servers may face similar issues once even more players attempt to download the game.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has already generated massive hype, largely due to its revamped version of the Budokai Tenkaichi combat system, a feature beloved by fans of the series. The game promises fast-paced, action-packed 3D battles with a huge roster of characters, each with their unique transformations and abilities.

The full release is only days away, and fans are eagerly waiting for the chance to jump into the action. However, whether PlayStation can handle the continued demand remains to be seen.
